Inauguration of Quality Control Laboratory! my story......

One of the most enjoyed day of my life till date, that will be the day when my workplace QCL inauguration took place. As it was planned at 9:15 A.M. it will be inaugurated by Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Hon'ble Minister of state (Independent charge), Minister of commerce and industry and with a short visit of the lab she will give a brief speech and thus it will end.

It was very cold in the morning of inauguration, still I managed to get up from bed at 5:00 A.M. then at around 5:30 took shower (hot water saved my life; I told to myself) then managed to drape saree (which also had a story; just before that day I had given it to one dry cleaning store on my way to office, unfortunately the shop was closed at 9:00 A.M. in the morning but fortunately I found his number on the closed door and called him to collect the saree, had it ironed from a shop we both know cause I left for office. I told that I would receive the same while returning and in case I was late he must give to it to the common shop.) I had minimum accessories to get ready but finally I got someone to give me a finishing touch in draping saree I was thankful to Krishna di.

Generally we took auto for office so I was in the auto fighting with the cold wind in that speeding auto with all my effort so that my overall get up and the drapes doesn't get spoiled. At last I had to take another toto (smaller version of an auto) to reach my destination an hour before the occasion.

In the office: totally engrossed in doing work printing and all that stuff, arranging the lamp, for ribbon cutting ceremony doing the needful, I remember I was doing to and fro from office to stage and stage to office; it was really hectic but then the siren was ringing and I knew what work was on my part.

Well, Madam arrived and we all welcomed and received her graciously; It was a grand welcome indeed! Hon'ble Madam inaugurated the stone of QCL. I was striving hard my way back near to the stairs through the mob of photographers to the stairs where the knife was kept in a tray for ribbon cutting. I took it in my hand then then handed to another mam from our board. Next was the lightning of diya or lamp ceremony which took place with the chanting of holy mantras then finally she cut the ribbon.

Entering inside the lab all the departments were being visited by the minister where she met the concerned scientists who were handling some Hi-Tech instruments. She gave some valuable suggestions along with the member of Parliament(Darjeeling), Mr. Alluwalia. Then again it was a difficult task to get back from where you had started all thanks to the mob of photographers!.. :)

Anyway, the minister along with member of parliament, chairman (Tea Board), Addl. Sec and Dy. Chairman were all be-seated on the stage. Then it was my turn to welcome them with bouquets and shawls to be facilitated by the honorable  guests. And this was my hidden desire which was fulfilled on this auspicious day. It was a very eventful day for me, I am thankful to my God for showering strength and blessings of my parents on that very day!

Angels of the Gardens!

Tea Garden Angels!

The most hard working but least paid yet there are so many priceless and countless things to learn from them..

contentment, compassion, care, honesty, humility, hospitality, sweetness, sacrifice, patience, calmness, trust and above all is to be happy always regardless of calamity, struggles and all other odds.

Abandoned and deprived from any opportunities, enjoyments and material pleasures of the city dwellers these great souls are the  embodiment of peace and love. Living a happy life in midst of scarcity as a separate community. Its due to their heart & soul effort that we are having a finest quality Darjeeling tea cup in our home at our comfort. But after all this, they could gather a mere three thousand at the months end and its a matter to think upon by the educated world that is it justified and sufficient for them to survive? while the big Tea Industries are making huge profits resting on their shoulders and when its time to show some humanity to increase their wages there is nobody who could enrich their livelihoods and bring a little smile. Only God knows when the industry men will show some favor. Can there be some other way to help them? ...surely there is! if and only some NGO's can team up, visit these remote places and take up an action plan for imparting education and health also the development authority could serve a little to develop roadways. This will serve as a great help but may be it is too much to hope in this small life; it could have been possible but may be in the next era as the present condition is so miserable and distressful, that somewhat it will look like going back a few decades in time machine.

I am grateful to meet these wonderful human beings and what I feel is that the qualities they have are far more superior than thousands and lakhs of materialistic greedy inhuman's of this generation.

My deep love and salute to you all who takes care of the hills and the gardens.. may God be always with you !!!

Keep Smiling no matter what and keep your hopes alive. You all are my angels.

A small experience.......

It was yesterday, in the evening, I was on my way back home from office. I went to take some cutlets from nearby fast food stall and I got two for myself. Casually, took 1 out to eat and kept 1 aside for later. While having it, I noticed a woman in a tattered dress, with towel like thing covering her head, looked so tired carrying a load at her back heading towards main road, just crossed me while I was about to open the gate at my place. I was sad and felt pity eventually the food lost its taste also, my heart was forcing me to give away the remaining piece to her but my mind was forcing to go inside the room and take rest. So in this battle I let my heart win and closed the gate then followed her. I could see her though she went too far, near the main road, n I kept following until I reached and asked nicely 'would u like to have some cutlet?' With a smile and sparkling eyes she replied , 'Yes'. Finally I felt really happy to win this battle of heart and my mind which was far more comforting than taking rest. Thank you God you made my day!!

Sharing is caring.... :)
